Window pane pasted with privacy foil with colorful photorealistic feathers

DIY for windows: feather-design Finja privacy screen is a breeze!

Project from Chris -

Summer. Long daylight hours. The sun is shining. Everyone is spending time outdoors: And it feels like everybody has an unobstructed view into your home through the windows! Not nice, because this is where you really want to be private and unobserved.

In addition, you value beautiful design, but don’t want any curtains, blinds or shades. No problem! With the static adhesive glass foil “Static Premium Finja,” you can apply effective privacy protection to your windows with ease. Create the privacy you wish for in an instant – and give your home a stylish upgrade with Finja’s photo-realistic feather design with light and breezy bohemian appeal!

You will need…

  • d-c-fix® static PREMIUM Finja
  • d-c-fix® application kit with smoothing blade & utility knife
  • d-c-fix® application fluid or spray bottle with water
  • Pencil

  • Yard stick
  • Ruler
  • Cloth

Let’s go!

This is how to create new privacy screen step-by-step:

Preparation

You have everything you need? Then get started!

Step 1

Take measurements of the window and transfer them onto the back of the Finja privacy foil with a pencil. Cut the piece of foil to size with the aid of a utility knife and ruler.

Step 2

Wet the glass surface evenly with water or d-c-fix® application fluid.

Step 3

Now peel off the backing paper from the privacy foil.

Step 4

Place the cut privacy foil at one corner of the window pane and smooth the foil down roughly by hand.

Step 5

Now take the smoothing blade and press the foil down firmly, working your way along the window surface hand-width by hand-width.

Step 6

Smoothing down removes the trapped water between the foil and the glass pane, allowing it to escape at the edges. Wipe away this liquid using the cloth.

You’re done!
