New wood-effect shelving in six steps

You will need…

  • A roll of d-c-fix® Ribbeck Oak
  • A roll of plain matte d-c-fix®, black
  • A d-c-fix® application kit containing a smoother and a cutting knife

  • Scissors
  • A tape measure
  • A pencil

Let’s go

Step 1

Measure the top and sides of the shelving unit.

Step 2

Draw the side measurements on the backing paper of the wood-effect decorative film and cut the film to size.

Step 3

Cut another piece of film to the dimensions of the top surface of the shelving unit.

Step 4

Peel off the backing paper from the adhesive film and place the film on the side edges of the shelving unit.

Step 5

Smooth out the film using the smoother, gently applying pressure and always working your way from the inside out. Repeat this process on the two other sides.

Step 6

You can cut off any excess film at the sides with your cutting knife.

You’re done!
