Project: New modern wood look for your dining table!

Project from Lucy -

What would we be without it: the beloved kitchen table? It is a place where colorful life takes place every day: Have breakfast, work, learn, drink coffee, discuss, laugh, do crafts and celebrate. It’s where the funniest evenings begin and end, and it’s also a central anchor in everyday family life. So it’s no wonder that the bustle of life also leaves its mark on the dining table. But now you can say “Thank you!” to your table and treat it to some great DIY upcycling. You will see: the modern light wood look of the table top with the d-c-fix® adhesive foil Pino Aurelio not only looks good on the dining table, but also in your kitchen!

You will need…

  • d-c-fix® Pino Aurelio
  • Scissors
  • Utility knife
  • Doctor blade

  • Screws
  • Cordless screwdriver
  • Pen
  • Tape measure
  • Scissors
  • Utility knife
  • Squeegee

Let’s go

Step 1

Determine the dimensions of the table top and add some allowance to all sides for gluing around the edges. Then transfer these measurements to the back paper of the adhesive foil Pino Aurelio.

Step 2

Now peel off the backing paper a bit and place the adhesive foil on the edge of the table.

Step 3

Press the adhesive foil firmly down with the scraper – it’s best to always work a hand’s width ahead.

Step 4

Cut the adhesive foil diagonally at the corners of the tabletop.

Step 5

Now fold the corners, fix the foil well to the underside of the tabletop and cut off any excess foil with the cutter.

You’re done!
