Yeah, springtime at last! Days will be longer again, your energy and joie de vivre will increase – and the sun will shine! Pure sunshine: something that is a pure joy outdoors can be annoying in the home. Sun can be annoying at times, especially when it comes to skylights, large window areas or when your desk is right next to the window. Not to mention the strong heat build-up in the summer. Relaxation at home is very easy when it comes to dealing with sun stress: with static sun protective film you can wave the red card at stressful solar radiation.
You will need…
First step: Clean windows! Remove any dirt from the windows to be covered – until they are spotlessly clean. Then measure the window.
Next cut out the corresponding film pieces using the cutter knife.
Then moisten the window with sufficient water using the spray bottle.
Next remove the protective film from the piece of film and place it on the upper edge of the window.
Then spray the film applied to the window and smooth it down using the smoothing blade, working from the inside to the outside. Continue to run the smoothing blade over the film from the inside to the edges until all excess water has been squeezed out to the sides.
Finally, rub the adhered film surface and the entire window dry with a soft cloth – and your UV protection on the window is complete!
After you have measured your window, remember to leave 2-3 mm space from the window frame for the film. This makes it easier to apply.
