DIY guide for your next upcycling project

You will need…

  • A roll of d-c-fix® Brooklyn
  • A d-c-fix® application kit containing a smoother and a cutting knife
  • Several cans
  • Wooden board
  • Hammer
  • Nail

  • File
  • Screwdriver
  • Screws
  • A pencil
  • A tape measure

Let’s go

Step 1

Clean the cans carefully and file down the sharp edge a little using a hand file.

Step 2

Roughly measure the tin cans and cut out suitable pieces of our film, not forgetting to include a little excess. Then apply the film firmly all around.

Step 3

Cut away any overhanging film at the rim of the can with the cutting knife.

Step 4

Carefully make a small hole in the can below the top rim using a hammer and nail.

Step 5

Measure the board and arrange the cans on it. Use a pencil to make small markings where the hole in the can is located. Then make a small hole in the board at the marked position using a hammer and nail.

Step 6

Fix the cans to the board at the prepared locations on the board using the screws.

You’re done!
