Scandinavian design is very much on trend, and geometric shapes are a big part of this look. We’ll show you how to create some fantastic one-of-a-kind pieces for your home in just a few short steps.

 

Project description for unique pieces in a Scandinavian design

You will need…

  • A roll of plain matte d-c-fix®, black
  • A roll of plain matte d-c-fix®, white
  • A d-c-fix® application kit containing a smoother and a cutting knife

  • Scissors
  • A pencil
  • A tape measure

Let’s go

Step 1

Print out the template and cut out the geometric pattern.

Step 2

Sketch the pattern onto the back of the film using a pencil. Now cut out the pattern.

Step 3

Measure the surfaces on your step ladder and mark the dimensions on the backing paper of your second film.

Step 4

Cut the film to size and then peel off the backing paper.

Step 5

Use the smoother from the application set to smooth the film onto the surfaces.

Step 6

Score the film from the outer corner to the inner corner of the step ladder and fold the sides up.

Step 7

Cut away the excess film using a cutter.

Step 8

Peel off the backing paper on the pattern and smooth it down using the smoother as well.
