DIY privacy screen: Your windows will just love Chester’s geometric look!

Project from Cintia -

Fresh windows after spring cleaning: check! Beneficial rays of sunshine through the windows: check! Curious peering in from outside and unwanted glances: no thanks! We have the perfect solution for greater privacy that not only creates effective privacy, but also looks extremely cool. This is where the new d-c-fix® static premium Chester window film comes into play, to perfectly match the modern, urban style of living with its fashionable, smooth geometric pattern.

Ready for privacy and chic decoration all rolled into one?

You will need…

  • A roll of d-c-fix® static premium Chester
  • d-c-fix® Application kit with doctor blade and cutter
  • Scissors

  • Measuring tape
  • d-c-fix® application fluid
  • Cloth (to clean)

Let’s go

Step 1

First, you decide the dimensions of the glass surface that you want to make “peep-proof”. Transfer the dimensions onto the backing paper of your Chester film. Then cut the film to size by subtracting 2–3 mm distance from the window seals when cutting.

Step 2

If you haven’t already done so, clean the glass surface thoroughly so that it is completely free of dust and dirt when it is affixed. Now wet the glass surface generously with the d-c-fix® application fluid, until there are no more dry areas visible.

Step 3

Next, detach the backing paper from the Chester window film and position it on the pane – remember to leave enough of a gap from the window seals.

Step 4

When the film is in the correct position, use the doctor blade to squeeze out the water between the glass surface and the window film – always working from the center outwards. Finally, use a cloth to dry the pane – your privacy screen is now ready with Chester!

You’re done!
