DIY for renters: Fridge Makeover with d-c-fix®

Project from Cintia -

Your fridge doesn’t go with your kitchen? Then the following DIY is just what you need! We show you how you can give your old fridge a new look quickly, easily and cheaply with d-c-fix® adhesive film. The DIY is perfect for renters who have been provided with the kitchen by the landlord or who have taken over the kitchen at a reasonable price.

Stick d-c-fix® decorative film on your fridge and kitchen cupboards and make your kitchen look like new. You are moving out again? Then remove the d-c-fix® adhesive film again.

The adhesive film leaves no residue and does not damage the surface of the fridge.

You will need…

  • One roll of d-c-fix® marble white
  • Squeegee
  • Cutter

  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Measuring tape

Let’s go

Step 1

Ready for glamour in your kitchen? Let’s do it! Clean the front of the fridge first. It is important that the surfaces to be stuck on are free of dirt and oily stains.

Step 2

Now take the tape measure and measure the fronts of the refrigerator.

Step 3

Add 2-3cm to the measurement taken and transfer this to the back paper of the d-c-fix® marble film With this trick you will be able to apply the film more easily later. Cut out the required pieces from the adhesive foil.

Step 4

And now comes the glamour part – take the first piece of d-c-fix marble film and remove a piece of the backside film. Attach the adhesive part to the top of your first fridge front and fix the film with a squeegee. Now you can remove the rest of the backing paper step by step. During this process, you can paint the adhesive surface that is released again and again with the squeegee.

Step 5

The whole surface is now covered? Cut off the excess film on the sides with the cutter. If air bubbles have formed, you can prick them with a needle and wipe out the air with a squeegee. Your glamour refrigerator is ready!

You’re done!
