Window foil with privacy function in a squirrel and leaves design on a window pane.

How to: DIY privacy screen with lively squirrels!

Project from Chris -

Fall is most beautiful season in the forests – after all, you can really admire the leaves changing colour there. It is precisely this feeling that the window foil d-c-fix® static PREMIUM Pineview gives expression to in succinct form. The print with squirrels and foliage is not only a great decorative element, but also provides effective privacy. And anyone can now easily do it themselves. The DIY tutorial shows exactly how it can be done with the static-adhesive Pineview privacy foil.

You will need…

  • d-c-fix® static PREMIUM Pineview
  • d-c-fix® application kit with scraper & utility knife
  • d-c-fix® application fluid or spray bottle with water

  • Ruler
  • Measuring tape
  • Pencil
  • Cloth

Let’s go!

Start your privacy protection project here with the tutorial:

Step 1

Determine the dimensions of your window surfaces, subtract 2 mm for a small distance to the window frame – and cut the window foil accordingly with the cutter.

Step 2

Spray the adhesive side of the foil with d-c-fix® installation fluid.

Step 3

Carefully remove the transparent protective foil on the rear side.

Step 4

Next, apply the window foil to the window, making sure to leave 2 mm spacing between it and the silicone joint of the window frame. Apply the window foil to the glass surface.

Step 5

Finally, squeeze out the excess water between the foil and the glass pane using the scraper.

Step 6

Finally, wipe the window dry with a cloth.

You’re done!
