Installation Instructions – Wooden Deck/Porch*

Note: Before proceeding, be sure that your deck is structurally sound. Do not install Outdoor Floor over broken boards.

Step 1

When applying d-c-fix® Outdoor Floor, it is recommended to clean the deck planks from any dirt, algae, mold, etc. as it could have a negative effect on the adhesion. It is also recommended to flatten any nail heads or screws that protrude from the surface.

Step 2

Place d-c-fix® Outdoor Floor on the surface and roll out. Attach the starting end to your surface via stapler or another fastener. You will remove the fastener once the install is complete. If installing multiple sheets, ensure the clean edge (the edge with no fabric) is installed over the top of the next sheet using a 1” overlap.

Step 3

Roll the d-c-fix® Outdoor Floor back to the starting position.

Step 4

Apply construction adhesive (i.e., Liquid Nail, Loctite, etc.) to the deck boards in a snake like pattern covering the entire surface with spacing of each row approximately 3” apart.

Step 5

Carefully unroll d-c-fix® Outdoor Floor applying throughout the sheet to flatten the adhesive. Use a utility knife to cut out or around any permanent objects on the surface, such as post. Allow the adhesive to dry for 24 hours before resuming normal use. It takes up to 7 days for the construction adhesives to fully cure.

Step 6

Apply construction adhesive on the vinyl underneath the 1” overlap seam. Apply to all areas of the seam and wipe away any excess immediately with a damp cloth.

Step 7

If using aluminum carpet strips to terminate, nail to the top of the d-c-fix® Outdoor Floor and use a utility knife to trim excess. You can terminate with trim boards.
