A stylish marble side table for your living room.

Project from Angelina -

Marble is right on trend again this year. Give your home a sophisticated appearance with our DIY guide for a stylish marble table.

You will need…

  • A roll of Marmi grey d-c-fix®
  • A d-c-fix® application kit containing a smoother and a cutting knife
  • A 40x76x02 cm MDF panel
  • Two 40x80x02 cm MDF panels
  • Four 80x80x02 cm MDF panels

  • A drill
  • Screws
  • Screw clamps
  • A countersink bore
  • Scissors
  • A pencil

Let’s go

Step 1

Place the panel for the rear side on a table. Place two frame parts flush vertically on the rear panel, fix them to the rear panel with large screw clamps and align them at right angles.

Step 2

Screw the two frame parts to the rear panel with three screws each. Now, use two screws to screw the front frame part from the outside into the front wall of the rear frame part with a small gap to the outside. Continue building the frame all around using this method.

Step 3

Then, place the two remaining panels upright in the finished structure, flush with the rear wall and the frame parts. These are for stabilization.

Step 4

Screw them through the frame parts from the outside with two screws each with a gap between them, through the rear panel from behind with three screws each and the third hole in the middle.

Step 5

Remove a piece of the backing paper from the film and smooth it down with the smoother. Repeat this on all sides. You can cut the film roughly to size with scissors beforehand.

Step 6

Cut away the excess film at the edges using the cutting knife.

You can have the boards cut to size at a hardware store.

You’re done!
