We create the popular ombre look using different shades of gray, from light to dark. Transform a plain chest of drawers into a stylish, eye-catching piece in a few simple steps.

You will need…

  • A roll of plain matte d-c-fix®, anthracite
  • A roll of plain matte d-c-fix®, gray
  • A roll of plain matte d-c-fix®, light gray
  • A d-c-fix® application kit containing a smoother and a cutting knife

  • A tape measure
  • Scissors
  • A pencil

Let’s go

Step 1

Clean the chest of drawers with a cloth to remove any residue and ensure a better finish when you apply the film.

Step 2

Measure the drawers that you will be covering with film and cut out the relevant pieces of film. Leave a little excess on all sides.

Step 3

Peel off a piece of the backing paper from the plain decorative film and attach the film to the edges of the drawers.

Step 4

Gradually remove the backing paper and use the smoother to eliminate any air bubbles. You can cut off any excess film with the cutting knife.
