Dark-colored vinyl decking membranes tend to absorb more heat than lighter-colored ones. If the membrane is exposed to direct sunlight for an extended period, it can become quite warm, making it uncomfortable for bare feet and pet paws. 

As a precaution, test the deck temperature on a hot day to test comfort level.
