Lovely wintertime! It’s time to snuggle up at home with decorations, candles, lights, fluffy textiles, cookies, tea and coffee. Your favorite Christmas decorations are unpacked from last year’s boxes and carefully arranged. Mood music makes people look forward to the celebrations and bring back memories. But: Something’s missing!

Exactly: The rustic winter decorations outside at your front door. After all, you want to welcome Christmas, holiday celebrations, family, friends and neighbors in style! Our DIY decorations for outdoors in a rustic wood-look with d-c-fix® Rustic and White Matt adhesive foils. This homemade eye-catcher with the look of rustic wooden slats with Christmas ornaments in white brings a smile to everyone’s face. Yours too! See for yourself!

You will need…

  • d-c-fix® Rustic
  • d-c-fix® White Matt
  • Pencil
  • Measuring tape

  • Wooden slats
  • Boxcutter
  • Scraper

Let’s go

Step 1

Measure the different lengths of wooden slats and transfer their dimensions to the grid on the back of the Rustic adhesive foil.

Step 2

Trim the three adhesive foils to size. Then apply the foil to the base element and press the foil firmly down with the doctor blade.

Step 3

Cut into the adhesive foil at the edges and fold around the corners.

Step 4

For the white decoration, draw Christmas shapes – baubles, stars, hearts, angels – on the back of the d-c-fix® White Matt adhesive foil and cut them out.

Step 5

Remove the backing paper from your white decorative shapes.

Step 6

Use the doctor blade to press them onto your covered decorative wooden slats.
