You will need…

  • One roll of d-c-fix® Textile Fabric – Natural
  • One roll of d-c-fix® Scandinavian Oak
  • d-c-fix® application kit with squeegee and cutter

  • Measuring tape
  • Scissors
  • Pencil

Let’s go

Step 1

Precisely measure the visible front face and thickness of the edge of your bed headboard. Think about how wide the wooden frame look should be and how wide you would like the central divider in wood look to be. For the adhesive strips of the “wooden frame,” calculate the correspondingly required additional dimension for re-gluing the edges.

Step 2

Next, transfer the dimensions of the five required pieces of film in a wooden look to the back paper of the Scandinavian Oak film, and cut them to size. Then determine the dimensions of the inner film piece in the textile fabric look, and transfer those dimensions to the back of the d-c-fix® Textile Fabric – Natural adhesive film.

Step 3

Now apply the piece of textile-fabric film according to your dimensions to the bed headboard, and use the squeegee to firmly and smoothly affix it in place. Next, apply the two frame strips to the left and right of the textile-fabric film.

Step 4

Set the piece of wooden-look film for the “divider” in the middle, and firmly and smoothly affix it in place using the squeegee.

Step 5

Now, for finishing touch, apply the two pieces of wooden-look film above and below, working upwards and downwards: With that, your new bed head in a modern oak look with textile boho flair is ready!

You’re done!
