Project from Cintia -

Too early to think about Christmas? Not at all. After all, it’s never too early to start thinking about something beautiful. Or to conjure up something great with a DIY upcycling for the pre-Christmas season! Like the ingenious and very classy-looking homemade advent calendar made from recycled screw-top jars of various sizes: with the d-c-fix® Romeo gold adhesive foil, these become real gems in a trendy marble look. With decorations made from adhesive foil in shiny gold, they provide space for 24 surprises that are sure to please the proud owner of the DIY advent calendar!

You will need…

  • d-c-fix® Marble Romeo gold
  • d-c-fix® Metallic High-gloss gold
  • d-c-fix® application kit with scraper & utility knife
  • Measuring tape

  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • 24 jars with screw lids

Let’s go!

How to make the advent calendar, step by step:

Step 1

Remove adhesive, labels and grease residue from the jars.

Step 2

Measure the circumference of each jar and transfer the measurements to the back paper of the Romeo adhesive foil.

Step 3

Next, cut out the rectangles allowing for some excess Romeo foil.

Step 4

Remove the backing paper from the foil and apply the adhesive foil to the jar.

Step 5

Use the scraper to apply the adhesive foil all around the jar. The adhesive foil should overlap slightly.

Step 6

Cut out the numbers from 1 to 24 and the small stars from the gold adhesive foil – and apply these to the jars as well. If available, a star-shaped punch can also be used for the stars.

Done!
